To Australian Department of Home Affairs, the Honorable Members of The Parliament of Australia,
We, the signatories of this petition, are deeply concerned about the significant delays in processing temporary student visas for Iranian Ph.D. students who wish to continue their education in Australia.
Many students have been waiting for over a year to obtain their visas and are at risk of losing their hard-earned scholarships if they do not receive them before June. This delay is unacceptable and causes significant harm to their families, mental well-being, career prospects, and future opportunities. It also impedes collaboration between universities, professors, and students on research projects.
By signing and spreading this petition, we seek to raise awareness of this issue in the international community and its effects on Iranian students, their families, and the universities and institutions that support them.
We call upon your authority to hear our voices and take the necessary measures to enable Iranian Ph.D. students to come to Australia and contribute to society, foster rich cultural exchange, and pursue their academic aspirations.
