My name is Mohammad-Amin Tavassoli. On September 20, 2022, in Hamedan, I was injured by gunfire from the Islamic Republic of Iran's agents during street protests. Bullets lodged in my body have since caused severe health deterioration. My mother was able to remove only a few bullets due to the extensive arrests, making medical assistance inaccessible. Consequently, most of the bullets remain in my body to this day.
I suffer from nervous attacks, skin infections, including in the genital area, chronic body pain, persistent headaches, and weakened joints and bones—all of which began after the incident. The fear of arrest prevents me from seeking specialist medical care, exacerbating my mental distress.
I demand the right to free medical care for the victims of the "Women, Life, Freedom" movement. We, the children of this land, sought rights and justice on the streets and were met with brutal violence. We deserve access to healthcare without fear of persecution.
