We, the undersigned, call on the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran to fulfill their fundamental duties of ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of citizens and to refrain from engaging in repressive actions against the defenseless and innocent people of this country.
Security forces worldwide are tasked with protecting the safety and tranquility of their citizens. Unfortunately, in Iran, the core responsibilities of the security forces have been compromised under political influence, leading some to act against their people. We ask that you return to your rightful role and stand by your fellow citizens. We are all part of one large family, and it is your duty to protect the people's lives, safety, and peace against any threat or oppression.
Considering the country's increasing social, political, and economic discontent and the likelihood of renewed public protests, we urge you to refrain from using violence against the people and remain true to your conscience and sense of honor. Let us not see more families grieving for their loved ones—young people who were merely seeking their rights and who represent the future and social fabric of our nation. Protect these young people, and do not let the life and future of this country be marred by violence and repression.
Change, the return of hope, the realization of justice, and a decent life for Iranians are possible only with your cooperation. We ask you not to use your weapons against unarmed and vulnerable people and not to suppress them for any reason. See the young people of this country as your children, and fulfill your primary duty of protecting citizens' lives, safety, and well-being.
